Uddharana Datta Thakura was formerly the cowherd boy of Vrindavana named Subahu. Uddharana Datta Thakura was a resident of Saptagrama, which is situated on the bank of the Sarasvati River in the district of Hugli. Srila Prabhupada is in the family line of Uddharana Datta Thakura. He was an exalted devotee of Lord Nityananda.
