He belonged to The Caitanya sakha and was the son of Vilasa Acarya.  He was a Varendra brahmana and the father of Sri Gadadhara Pandita. Pundarika Vidyanidhi was his close friend. Madhava was Vrishabhanu in his past incarnation.
